Dr. Adella Nikitiades
PhD Clinical Psychologist
I received my Ph.D from the New School for Social Research and completed my internship and postdoctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center where I specialized in evidence based treatments for mood disorders (MBT- DBT) for children, adolescents and adults. I have conducted research in the field of attachment science and published in scientific journals.
My areas of expertise include trauma-informed psychotherapy, transition to parenthood and ongoing challenges of parenting, couples therapy, as well as issues of emotional or physical violence at home. I aim to facilitate the process of making sense of challenging emotions, actualizing oneself and building stronger, more satisfying connections to others.
